The journey begins in Greve in Chianti, the historic gateway to the Chianti region and one of Tuscany’s most charming wine villages. Under its historic porticoes, you will discover local stories, traditions, and the authentic atmosphere that still defines everyday life here. Greve is also deeply connected to history. It is the birthplace of Giovanni da Verrazzano, the Florentine explorer who discovered the Bay of New York centuries ago. Because apparently Tuscany was not content with creating Renaissance art and wine. It also helped map America. Inside the historic Falorni butcher shop, an authentic institution of Tuscan gastronomy, you will enter a world of hanging prosciutto, finocchiona, wild boar salami, aged pecorino cheeses, and aromas that define traditional Tuscan food culture. The experience continues at Viticcio winery, a renowned Chianti estate famous for its Super Tuscan wines, including the prestigious “Le Monete.” Here you will enjoy a wine tasting paired with a traditional Tuscan platter of local cured meats and cheeses, surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. From there, the route climbs toward Montefioralle, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy, perfectly preserved and immersed in the timeless Chianti countryside. The journey then continues to the historic Badia a Passignano, surrounded by ancient cypress trees, medieval walls, vineyards, and centuries of Tuscan history. This extraordinary place is closely connected to the Antinori family and the deep winemaking traditions of the region. Lunch takes place with Maurizio Brogioni, a local Chianti producer and friend of the experience. After visiting his cellar and vineyards, you will share an authentic Tuscan lunch while tasting his Chianti wines directly where they are produced. The final stop of the day is dedicated to another Tuscan excellence: Florentine leather craftsmanship. At the Piero Tucci workshop and showroom, you will discover authentic handmade leather production and watch local artisans at work while creating products sold in Florence and internationally. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase directly from the factory showroom.
